Biggest Glasses-Free TV: 110″
The company 4D Vision recently showcased one (if not the) largest display with the ability to show stereoscopic 3D without the need for glasses. The display is no less than 110 inches in size and has a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.
The screen layout was on display at the electronics fair KES 2011 which took place at KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) in South Korea. Over there they offered up a 110-inch beast that has been named 4DV Ultra-Sign and consists of four smaller panels with narrow frames, which together form one huge panel. According to 4D Vision, this is not surprisingly the world’s first glasses-free 3D TV with this ultra-high resolution.

The high resolution and new glasses-free technology means that you can avoid having to use those annoying 3D glasses to be able to view stereoscopic 3D on the screen, and with a better viewing angle than at lower resolutions as Full HD 1080p.
The smaller panels on the 4DV Ultra-Sign is of the type multi-DID and use so-called Super-Narrow Bezels to create a larger display with a minimum frame between each panel. 4D Vision hopes that this product would be a good one for businesses and others who are looking for good solutions for advertising displays and other types of digital signs. In other words there’s not much chance of this one entering mass production and reaching the consumer market. Further information about price and release date has not yet been announced.
