VisionWave – First TV From Bose
Bose – primarily known for audio products – are now underway with their first flat screen TV. The new TV goes by the name VisionWave, and can reasonably be expected to come with a powerful sound system.
The HDTV will be launched in a 46 inch variant first, and it brings some new features to the table in the form of embedded audio, a separate extender box and ClickPad remote. It has no built-in input jacks for other devices; all of these inputs are regrouped in an external box that connects to your TV with a single cable.

There is built a large number of speakers in the screen itself. Bose promises that their solution delivers a sound quality significantly above average for flat screens today. The TV is based on an LCD panel with compact fluorescent light as the source, and not LED as is common in new HDTVs.
Another interesting feature with the Vision Wave is the ClickPad remote, which is an unusually simple device with a few buttons and a touchpad. Bose has designed it to function as a universal remote for controlling other devices at home. The few buttons on the remote are complemented by a display that brings up a menu where you can navigate around various commands.

The TV has by far the best sound I have ever heard. I would go as far as saying it has better sound than boses’ conventional speaker systems. Though the price is a bit steep at $5500 which I hope will eventually come down, I was blown away by the technology and stunning innovation by bose. True High Def LCD TV and spectacular sound, every boys’ or girls’ dream come true.
